PLAY IT SAFE
Sex traffickers don’t discriminate; race, gender and socio-economic status are irrelevant when looking for a victim. Instead, traffickers target potential victims that are vulnerable, because this can make them easy to manipulate and control. The biggest population of vulnerable people are children. Rescuing Hope teaches middle and high school students how to Play It Safe by sharing age-appropriate facts, stories and actionable tips that can help them avoid dangerous situations and empower them to protect themselves and those around them from falling victim to a trafficker.
The stuff we learned is crazy, especially about how they can trick you on social media. There are simple things you can change that will make you a lot safer, so more teenagers need to hear this.
SOMEONE LIKE ME
College is an exciting time in life – – choosing what you want to study, living away from home, making new friends, and learning to be independent. Your family gives advice on staying safe, but they often don’t know all of the dangers…so it’s up to you to be aware and protect yourself. Rescuing Hope teaches young adults how to protect themselves and those around them from falling victim to a trafficker by sharing insights and cautionary tales.
